Written and produced by the acclaimed composer Aviya Kopelman, MINORITY is a full-length album featuring singer Ella Joy Meir. Uniting sophisticated art-pop with contemporary classical writing, this new project wraps Aviya’s dramatic songs in an up-to-date electro-acoustic production, exploring sound diversity in an artful and stylish way. Contemporary string pieces written by Aviya punctuate the songs on MINORITY.
Aviya Kopelman is an award-winning composer and pianist. She has performed in Carnegie Hall, composed for the world-famous Kronos Quartet, served for many years as the Composer-in-Residence of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and is the writer of many chamber, vocal, and symphonic pieces performed around the globe.
