Cremona Quartet sold-out premiere in Stockholm Konserthuset
Looks like both the audience, the organizers, the performers, the critics and the composer were happy with the sold-out concert in Stockholm Konserthuset. Most beautiful performance of the new string quartet “Hidden Place” was met with great warmth, as opposed to the weather outside the hall. Check the critic in the ‘PRESS’ section.

Kronos Quartet
So Kronos Quartet re-issued the album recording of the four pieces they commissioned for Under30 project – a worldwide open competition for young composers under the age of 30. As the forth recipient, I wrote “Widows & Lovers”, a very complex and live-technology-involving piece.
From two days ago, the album is available for a purchase online on Bandcamp! I am really happy and excited, since until now you could only purchase it in the United States.
Give it a listen, all three movements are very different from each other. I will tell the story behind them in a separate post. Anyhow, you gotta follow Kronos Quartet if you are not already! Always fun and fresh.

Six pieces for string quartet
This week was full of [long awaited] excitement and hard work. I recorded six pieces for string quartet – that are part of the upcoming album.
The work with them was pure fun! These guys just got what I need – uncompromising professionalism, rich experience with music in variety of genres, and good spirit. We understood each other from first sight (‘prima vista’), and I must say it does not always happen, so it is extremely rewarding experience for a composer.
Cannot wait to upload some videos with music.
