CURATOR

CURATOR

Curating musical events is an old passion, since the old high school days, helping friends and colleagues to build a nice concert program, to arrange an innovative musical event, or even to decide on an album track order.

Since 2013, Aviya Kopelman serves as Composer-in-Residence of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Apart from composing new music for the orchestra, this includes choosing the new Israeli works to be performed by the JSO.

Here are some examples of works commissioned / premiered by the orchestra by both young and established composers:

Assaf Shatil / Open Closed Open

Yitzhak Yedid / Delusions of War (2014) Part 2

Netta Shahar / Plethora of Secret Stars

Avi Berman / kaddish

Yitzhak Yedid / Delusions of War (2014) Part 1

Daniel Markovich / Holes Through Time

Uri Brener / Symphonic Chronicles

Ari Ben Shabetai / The Golden Hour
